YOYA's 20 Questions: Jasmine Punzalan

Every mom holds her own magic - that arsenal of must have products and best kept secrets which allow her to get through the day and on occasion make motherhood look like a breeze. Each week, we'll use YOYA's 20 Questions to unlock the vault and provide a sneak peek into the essentials of our favorite moms.

This week the spotlight's on Jasmine Punzalan. Jasmine is the mom of two beautiful boys, as well as the owner of Kodomo, our favorite children's boutique in Boston. YOYA founder Cristina Villegas has known Jasmine for years, as the pair kept running into each other during market season in Paris and New York. They quickly became friends, as they share the same sensibility when buying for their stores. We love her merchandising and curation for Kodomo, and also admire her courage and the rock star attitude she exudes on a daily basis. Enjoy learning more about Jasmine below!

ABOUT ME

Neighborhood: Beacon Hill, Boston

Work Industry: Owner of Kodomo, a children’s fashion boutique

My Crew (Kids/Ages): Hubby Paul, kids Lucas (8) and Theo (6)

Morning Routine: I am not an early bird by nature, but I wake up early. The kids have to be at the bus stop by 7am so I am usually up by 6am making breakfast. My husband and I drop the kids off at the bus stop together every morning. We then walk to my favorite neighborhood coffee shop, Tatte, for a cappuccino.   catch up on emails and once I’ve had some time to wake up, I usually do a quick exercise or practice yoga.

ESSENTIALS

Go-to Outfit: Currently I am living in my Nili Lotan army green cardigan which I purchased at my favorite local women’s clothing store Dress. I throw it over everything - yoga clothes, dresses, or jeans. I have an obsession with Golden Goose sneakers and wear them everyday, with any outfit.

Best Workout: I used to be more hard-core with work outs, but my body has taken a toll over the years. I like to stick to light resistance training 3 or 4 times a week and I have a daily Iyengar yoga practice. I taught yoga for 10 years prior to being a small business owner, and I hope to go back to teaching once or twice a week as it’s a nice balance to the chaos of running a small business.
