Brand Spotlight: Tutu du Monde

Brand Spotlight: Tutu du Monde

We welcome you to discover the world of Tutu Du Monde, a place where the dreams of every little girl come true. This week, we wanted to highlight the brand whose essence is the magic of make believe, and whose collection is filled with pieces meant to be treasured for years to come. Think pale pink and purple tutus, each a wonder with intricate beading, sequins and feathers. Enjoy learning more about Tutu Du Monde, and why it’s charm and wonder has captured our hearts.

Easily the most detailed line carried at YOYA, you know a Tutu Du Monde piece when you see one. Filled with ethereal tutus and sparkling capes, little girls gravitate to their rack as soon as they walk through our doors. Designer Andrea Rembeck draws her inspiration from “the delicate and the divine, the vintage and the antique...expressing her creativity with a contemporary spin and the couturier’s eye.” We love how versatile her pieces can be - dressed up for special occasions, or paired with a jean jacket and Converse for a more casual everyday look.

Reminiscent of stage worthy ballet costumes, the detailing on each Tutu Du Monde garment is purely spectacular. From the embellished bodice on our Swan With Me dress to the sequin flowers on the Peony Obsession tutu, these pieces are made for the most special of occasions.  As the brand says, the collection is made of “the highest quality [materials], hand-crafted and hand-dyed with an old-world feel… dusty pastels, silk ties, sparkly sequins, crystal beads and wisps of feathers applied to the softest natural cotton, finest tulle and silk organza.”

Our favorite aspect of the collection is the wide range of the line. The signature tutus can be worn as a flower girl dress, for special birthdays, ballet recitals, or simply for some after school dress up. The brand then launched its Play Collection, which is filled with simple designs and comfortable fabrics, making it an easy choice for everyday wear. We also love their collection of accessories, including sequin hair clips and sparkly capes, that add a little shimmer and shine to any outfit. What more could a girl ask for!
