Crafted by indigenous artisans of the Wayu Tribe in Colombia, this bag recreates with intricate patterns the life and beliefs of this culture. Each bag is crocheted with precision and durability by a single member of the community and take up to 30 days to complete.

The Wayu tribe occupy the harsh desert lands in the north of Colombia and into Venezuela. It is said that the art of weaving was taught to their ancestors by a mythical spider called Weleker. To this day  weaving remains a sacred part of their culture and identity.
